Oculus Rift The pre-orders for the Oculus Rift are up and running and it looks like we will be getting an Oculus Rift in home by the end of March or early April The wait is now over for the Oculus Rift…to some extent. Pre-orders are now live over on their site and we now have a price and an expected release window for this year. That would be sometime around the end of March or early April depending on who you hear from. The Climb A new VR game, The Climb, has been announced and it will bring the most realistic rock climbing experience for video games to date If you've always wanted to go extreme rock climbing without the risk then you'll be interested in hearing about The Climb. There of course will be developer panels and the standard keynote for all to look forward to, but what will be on the floor for us all to play and "experience?" Adrift New gameplay for Adrift has made its way online and it shows off a bit of gameplay and what it feels like in Adrift to run out of oxygen I believe this is the first time we have brought the first-person, interactive fiction game of Adrift up on the site before but that doesn't mean it hasn't been on our radar since it was first announced by Three One Zero. For those who don't know what Adrift is, outside of the genre description before, it is a story game that has us in space experiencing what it may be like for those who want to be up there. Arizona Sunshine has been announced and is looking to bring us all into our first major zombie survival experience utilizing VR technology It had to come sometime and just like the inevitable zombie apocalypse we all are hoping for Arizona Sunshine is doing just that only in a virtual way. More virtual than any of the other zombie outbreak titles in the past as Arizona Sunshine is utilizing SteamVR on the HTC Vive. Yes it is going to be a PC zombie game where you will have to survive being in the mix of things and not safely on your couch. Facebook is set to purchase Oculus for around two billion dollars. What does this exactly mean though? It was announced yesterday that Facebook has reached an agreement to purchase Oculus VR, the makers of the Oculus Rift headset, for about two billion dollars. Not all in cash mind you. Only $400 million of that will be in "cash" the rest of the $1.6 billion in Facebook stock. That is all upfront as well as $300 million more is offered if Oculus VR can hit certain milestones that are still yet to be defined at the writing of this article. Read More...

Wii Head Tracking powers new 3D game Not the most creative of titles, but, well...whatever. A long while back, before we had the Narticle section, I posted a bunch of things about the Wii and PS-Eye head tracking systems that people are working on. They were just basic tracking things that would move just some dots or basic targets on the screen depending on where your head is. The Wii had a set of glasses for this.
