Overwatch During Blizzcon it has been announced that Overwatch is hitting the consoles and it is getting an Overwatch: Origins Edition to do so As was to be expected it looks like Overwatch is getting a collector's edition of sorts and in this we have a solid confirmation that it is also heading to the PS4 and Xbox One platforms In addition to the already known PC version. Well more of a special edition and then a collector's edition if we want to be more succinct about this here for Overwatch. Put Davy Crockett To Shame With Your Perception In Fallout 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of September 2015 - 06:59 PM ]
The next video in Fallout 4's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series has been released to show off how Perception will be used in Fallout 4 The second fun video for Fallout 4's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series has been released and give us a look into the Perception stat that we will be using to help survive the wastelands in the game. Bethesda gave us a look at Strength last week so Endurance is slated for next week so I am guessing that the assumption made before will ring true here. But this week is all about Perception in Fallout 4 and how that skill will keep you alive and prospering after the world has ended. Read More...

New spin-off title for the Resident Evil franchise, Umbrella Corps, has been announced and is a third-person competitive shooter set in the franchise's universe With all of the other Resident Evil spin-offs and update it is no surprise that the next addition to the franchise is Umbrella Corps and that the game is a third-person, team-based, competitive shooter coming to the PS4 and PC sometime early next year. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new promotional series for Fallout 4 has begun to show us how we are S.P.E.C.I.A.L. in the game starting with the Strength attribute we will need to survive in Fallout 4 Since we had a look at where Fallout 4 will be heading after it launches on November 10th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC yesterday I guess it is high time we start to look at some of the mechanics we will employ in the core version of the game. With that we have Bethesda's new video series aimed to show us all how we are S.P. Read More...

Fallout 4 Is Getting A Season Pass & Here Are Some Details
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
While details are still sparse, it looks like Fallout 4 is getting a season pass for its DLC so we can keep playing Fallout 4 into the end of days With Fallout 4 still months out from launch it seems like a good time to start talking about DLC and updates right? Nothing like getting the updates on all the little extra add-ons to a game before it is actually finished being developed right? Bethesda thinks so and so now we have the first bit of details on Fallout 4 future updates, tools, and a Season Pass for all of the DLC that will pumped out afterward to our PS4, Xbox One, or PC version of the game. Nothing makes us feel great about a game like Fallout 4 than knowing that we are going to have to pay more to make sure we have the full experience of the game in advance. Read More...

The PlayStation Experience Is Coming Back & To A New Location
by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 14th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
PlayStation Sony has announced that the PlayStation Experience will be happening again only this time the PlayStation Experience will be in San Francisco Given the success of last year's PlayStation Experience it would be a bit daft to think that it wouldn't be making a huge comeback this year. For the uneducated this would be Sony's huge PlayStation "Fan Fest" of sorts to show off all their new and current IPs, hardware, and ideas coming to their platforms. Seeing as they didn't make a big push for anything sans the Morpheus at E3 and other conventions we can most likely expect the PlayStation Experience to only show off items for the PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and the like but who knows? Maybe Sony will have some kind of huge surprise just for this event here and no one but they know at this time. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/3/15 — 8/7/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of August 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games As Gamescom comes to a warp here we too come to wrap up another week in video games. There was so much to take in for this week we didn't get a chance to cover most things that cropped up for the industry at all. We tried our damnedest to do so but we are still just a small and fierce team. When the likes of Rock Band 4, Mad Max, and Final Fantasy XV are hammering us with so much it is hard to cover all video games out there or in the works. Hells, there was also a whole lot of Metal Gear Solid V that was handed out and we were only able to cover so little on it even though it was a huge thing. Read More...

Faith Is Restored With New Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for Mirror's Edge Catalyst was shown off at Gamescom 2015 and it shows us all that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be the reboot to the franchise we've wanted When I first heard that Mirror's Edge Catalyst was going to be a reboot of sorts for the franchise I was a little worried as I didn't think it needed a reboot. After my experience with it at E3 I was calmed down a little as it looked like DICE was going in the right direction even if it felt more like an expansion to the world and not a new title. After seeing what EA had to present for Mirror's Edge Catalyst during Gamescom here I think my worries are now pretty much faded away as even if it isn't going to be coined a sequel Mirror's Edge Catalyst is exactly what I was hoping for back when it was called Mirror's Edge 2. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
News about the DOOM multiplayer beta and alpha have come out of QuakeCon 2015 as well as a few new looks at the gameplay for DOOM It would make sense that out of QuakeCon we would get some new information for DOOM wouldn't it? It is one of the larger showcasing of Bethesda's titles and we all know DOOM is going to try and make a huge splash when it finally launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hells, DOOM helped do wonders to get the pre-orders for Wolfenstein: The New Order to spike among those who were not willing to take a chance. SDCC Experience — The Walking Dead Escape 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of July 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape Was Back At SDCC Giving All Of Us A Feel For What A Survival Horror Game Really Feels Like Another SDCC down and another fun run of The Walking Dead Escape to show us all how a survival horror kind of game could be like in the real world. If this is your first time reading about The Walking Dead Escape this would be the zombie obstacle course that has been set up out in San Diego's Petco Park for the fourth year running. Pun intended. The quick breakdown, if you don't want to read our original write up, is that you get grouped together with a small group of other "Runners" and then set loose to get from one end of a set up obstacle course to the other all while a group of other paid participants dressed as the "Walkers" try to corner you and end your life. Doctor Who Joins LEGO Dimensions At SDCC 2015
by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 9th of July 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
The first official trailer showing Doctor Who in LEGO Dimensions has been shown to the world at SDCC 2015 and it is a great fit for LEGO Dimensions We all knew that Doctor Who was coming for LEGO Dimensions and it was a safe assumption that he was going to be bringing all of the quirkiness and monstrosities that come with the Doctor. Now we get to see them in action for the first time as TT Games has released the first official look and trailer at the character(s) in LEGO Dimensions and it is just about what you would think it would be. For now this is the closest that most are going to get to having a Doctor Who game on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Wii U. Read More...

The Walking Dead Getting A Live Performance At SDCC 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Select scenes from The Walking Dead's season one from Telltale is getting the live performance treatment at SDCC 2015 As if there wasn't going to be a shortage on The Walking Dead at SDCC this year it looks like Telltale Games' video game is going to get the liver performance treatment and you can watch it right here. Granted you can't watch it until Saturday (7/11) at 8:00pm PST but if you can't make it out to San Diego to see it and what Skybound has to offer us all. I have a feeling that this will be a lot like the same event that was held for The Last Of Us only with the The Walking Dead being the story and those character/actors doing all of the work.
