Gotham Knights
New footage for one of the Gotham Knights is out there to get us ready to take on the role of Nightwing when Gotham Knights launches
There is the superhero kick coming in with all of the new games announced and updated, and here we have more for Gotham Knights. The first of four, we assume, with WB Games Montréal giving us all a bit more of a taste of Nightwing in the game. Sure, we have had a bit of this before, but this one is more of a character showcase to show us not only his moves but other skins he will have in Gotham Knights. Given that we will be able to customize the look and feel during the game, this makes perfect sense. Not to mention that after October 25th we can guess there might be some other cosmetics added in on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC to keep us all going a bit more.
As is to be expected, Nightwing keeps all of the agile and trapeze artist style for the character. It would have been weird if they changed that up considerably for Gotham Knights, but diehard fans can sit pretty now knowing they have not. They even made sure to make sure some of the classic persona comes through and we get a bit more of the tech in his traversal in the city. I know I would have liked to see something other than the glider we are getting, but they do need to make Gotham Knights not feel like another Arkham clone out there. I will take every bit of it. Have a look and see if you are on the same comic page as I am for this one.
Gotham Knights — Nightwing Character
Warner Bros. Games and DC premiered a character trailer for the upcoming open-world action RPG Gotham Knights, in development by WB Games Montréal. Showcasing the agile acrobatic defender Nightwing, the video shows off some of his suit styles, which players can craft and customize throughout the game. Nightwing’s unique combat abilities are also on display, which include fierce elemental melee attacks using his signature escrima sticks and wrist darts, as well as his traversal abilities which include parkour, grappling, and his glider, the Flying Trapeze.
Dick Grayson is Nightwing. As a teenager, he was Batman’s protégé and the first Robin, before striking off to become a hero on his own terms. An incurable optimist, Nightwing often relies on his natural charisma to try and get out of trouble. Though he often tends to hide his depths by clowning around, his friends know that Dick values close personal bonds and strongly believes that above all else, people are worth fighting for.
Gotham Knights is scheduled to launch worldwide on Oct. 25, 2022. Please note, that to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.
