Inquisitor
A new reveal for I, The Inquisitor has shown up to give us all a bit of the gameplay style our Inquisitor will fight through
It is not common that we get an alternate history where Jesus turns angry instead of compassionate, but that is where I, The Inquisitor is going to take us. This is the game that The Dust is working on for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC that follows that line of books where this does happen. Not that any Inquisitor in the past has truly gone down the forgiveness path in history anyway, but in this story, we will see how it goes when it is encouraged. More so when it will be part of the core gameplay mechanics to see if we will start to go down a line of mercy instead of punishing all of the sinners out there in the world. Although, I have a feeling we know how this is going to go with humans being the way they are in general.
For those looking for more for I, The Inquisitor, is going to be a story-based title that leans into the action-adventure style of gaming out there. It looks like it will lift heavily from the Jacek Piekara books out there that use the angry Jesus thing a bit more to its advantage. That is why we will be wandering around the world of the 1500s with our band of inquisitors laying down biblical law like Judge Dredd. Just with the base of being a follower of Christian mythology over being a follower of the law. Have a look at the basics for I, The Inquisitor just a bit lower down and see if it will be an alternate history you will be walking along with when it does launch out there.
I, The Inquisitor — Reveal
I, The Inquisitor is a story-based action-adventure based on the popular books by Jacek Piekara in which, in an alternate history, Jesus of Nazareth responds to his crucifixion with anger and rage rather than forgiveness and compassion. And in the centuries that follow His band of Inquisitors serve as violent enforcers of Biblical law. You play as Mordimer Madderdin in the 1500s, and it will be up to you to show mercy to sinners or to punish them. I, The Inquisitor is in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Do you think we all need another inquisitor video game out there or will it be a genre that stick around forever? Do you think that the team will be targeted for bringing this story further into the light or will it be a small title that is swept under a rug? Will we see more gamers go with compassion along the way or will it be all punishment all the time? Tell us all of your thoughts on this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. More for I, The Inquisitor should be on the way, so please keep an eye on the site for those updates and much more.
