Trolley Problem
The release date for Trolley Problem, Inc. is set down so you can start the debate again over the Trolley Problem
We have all had those ethical quandaries over the years and it looks like they will all be coming back this month on the PC with the launch of Trolley Problem, Inc. This is the latest title that ReadGraves and Yogscast Games has been getting ready for us all and finally dropping all of these thought problems on us on April 21st. Yes, the release date is set down and you can add the game to the lists as you are reading this. If showing the world how horrible you can be is something that you have been hoping to show off. That is what the trolley problem usually shows off. Not that there is a generally good option to take all of the time.
Before you think this will be just multiple ways to run humans over in the trolley problem, this will house fifty-five other and multiple-choice problems to answer too. There will be a streamer mode mixed in too so others can join in the discussion and figure out if you chose the correct option in the game. Even if it does look like Trolley Problem, Inc. will make you question if you should kill a dog or let them live and suffer for the rest of its short life. It could be something to help others start to learn some of the ethics and morals in a bit of a game show form. Have a look and see if it will be something you will need.
Trolley Problem, Inc. — Release Date
Prepare to feel awful: Trolley Problem, Inc. launches onto PC 21 April, with voiceover judgment from Dead Ringers and Spitting Image actor, Jan Ravens.
With scenarios that challenge opinions on vaccinations, war, immigration, corporate espionage, religion… even the nature of decision making itself, Trolley Problem, Inc. will take players on a journey that could ultimately change how they view the world, themselves, and ultimately the concept of free will.
Players are initially assessed as new recruits to Trolley Problem, Inc. – their suitability for employment is determined through some initial introductory problem solving which only affects the lives of a few people and a dog. Two choices are offered – then a countdown begins. Pick the option you feel is right – but justify your decisions to any family or friends watching you? Well, that’s your problem.
Oh, and Dead Ringers, Spitting Image, and Skins actor Jan Ravens will be the one questioning all your choices by the way. No pressure.

- Streamer mode allows content creators to engage with a live viewing audience
- Multiple profiles allow local players to compare and discuss their choice – whilst global statistics reflect the choices players across the world have made

How would you normally solve the trolley problem in general and will you try to figure out how to kill everyone? Do you think it will be odd to play these kinds of scenarios with viewers or will it lead to the real-world discussions many do not have? How will you answer the problems we have teased here and how dark do you think things will get? Feel free to let the discussion all start down in the comments. If there is anything more for Trolley Problem, Inc., we will obviously show it all here. Just be sure to keep a close eye on the site for that and a whole lot more.
