A Plague Tale
A new collector’s edition for A Plague Tale: Requiem is announced to add to the A Plague Tale gear out there
It feels so weird being here with this announcement for A Plague Tale: Requiem after seeing it all start out as such a small title so long ago. A title that Asobo Studio took a chance on and turned into an amazing gem that was overlooked by so many before. Now we are looking at the sequel to A Plague Tale coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC in the near future. For those looking to celebrate a bit more and bring more of the game home, there is now a Collector's Edition on the way to us all. Something that those hoping to finally get a fun statue for it all and the game will be glad to see here.
Yes, this version will not only house A Plague Tale: Requiem and all of the DLC pre-order goodies, but an 8" statue, metal brooch as Hugo's is in the game, some lithographs, and a vinyl version of the soundtrack. It sounds rather cool, but for $189.99 plus all of the shipping and taxes, it feels like it is a bit much. Not that the developers are trying to charge more for it all, but when you compare that to all of the other collector's editions out there, it seems a little lacking. Even the previous statue that was exclusive for A Plague Tale felt a bit closer to what we should expect. Unless those vinyl fans out there are truly in for one more to the list.
Pre-order the Collector’s Edition of A Plague Tale: Requiem. Includes the game, an incredible statue of Amicia and Hugo, and several collector items!
The Collector’s Edition of A Plague Tale: Requiem includes:
- The statue "Amicia & Hugo": a 21cm/8" resin statuette, finely detailed and painted
- Hugo’s Feather brooch: a fine metal brooch inspired by the feather ornaments worn by Hugo in the game
- A Vinyl Of The OST: the game’s enthralling soundtrack on a 45rpm vinyl, composed by Olivier Derivière (2 tracks)
- Three lithographs: three amazing A4 illustrations of A Plague Tale: Requiem
- The Game A Plague Tale: Requiem on your chosen platform. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions are delivered as a physical box with an alternative cover exclusive to the Focus Entertainment Store. PC versions are delivered as a digital Steam activation key.
How do you feel about this collector's edition here and will you be shelling out for it? Do you think it will be worth the price or does it seem like a bit much for what is being offered out there? Why is vinyl offered so much now when most have no way to actually play it anymore? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish. If we have more to share for A Plague Tale: Requiem, know it will be on the site for you. Maybe next time we will have more gameplay to look at and get us amped to shell out for this bundle.
