Sifu Will Have Even More Vengeance Flowing Out There Now

Sifu

A new physical edition for Sifu is on the way to give us all a bit more to collect from the world of Sifu

We are now just days away from Sifu hitting the PS4, PS5, and PC in a digital way. There have been a whole lot of fun gameplay bits and hype videos out there from Sloclap to help get us all hyped up for February 8th. Now, we have one more thing to get excited about, even if it means some of you might be waiting until May 3rd to give Sifu a try. Not because the game is going to be delayed at all, but due to the fact that you like to have the physical boxed editions of the game instead of the digital. There is no shame in that, but it does look like you will have to wait a bit more if you need to experience it all in that form.

This might not be something that everyone goes in on, but it is a new offer here for Sifu. A new offer that will be out three months after the game has been out there. Yet an offer that could entice you in with a Steelbook case, an artbook, a digital soundtrack, and three lithographs to enjoy along with the core gameplay we will have for Sifu. It is not clear why this all is not hitting on the same day next week, but I am sure there is some kind of reason for it. Have a little bit of a look at what will be coming with this new edition if you are choosing to go along with it.

Sifu — Vengeance Edition Announcement

Sifu is the story of a young Kung Fu student on a path of revenge, hunting for the murderers of his family.

One against all, he has no allies, and countless enemies. He has to rely on his unique mastery of Kung Fu as well as a mysterious pendant to prevail and preserve his family’s legacy.

Featuring the gripping intensity of classic Kung Fu films with realistic and raw combat, Sifu tells the story of a young Kung Fu student who has spent their life training for a day of reckoning after the brutal murder of their entire family by a mysterious assassination squad.

Sifu’s unique gameplay sits at the crossroads of two established and popular genres, mashing the intensity and timeless thrill of beat em ups with the gripping design of 3D action games. Set against a detailed backdrop of a fictional Chinese city, you will uncover an ancient mystery via a series of difficult confrontations that will test your skills to their limit. To overcome the odds that are heavily stacked against you, you’ll need to rely on your mastery of Kung Fu, and on a magical pendant that will revive you after death. The cost of magic is dear, however, and you will age significantly every time you come back to life: time is the price you will pay for your revenge.

The game’s exquisitely hand-drawn art style pays tribute to Kung Fu film classics where themes of revenge and redemption are timeless tales, all perfectly blending with Sloclap’s martial arts gameplay expertise. Sifu offers a unique approach to martial arts, themes of vengeance, and redemption to create a distinct single-player Kung Fu experience, making this game a true initiatory journey.

This edition will include:

  • An exclusive SteelBook
  • Sifu’s standard edition for PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4
  • ‘The Art of Sifu’ artbook
  • The original game score (digital)
  • 3 lithographs

Will you be holding out for this version of Sifu or will you still be going with the digital version of it all? Is it odd to have this one dropping on us in May, well after the initial release or is it all to make sure discs are pressed and books are printed more than anything? Will any of this add to your experience or will it need to be seen once the game launches and we can see if it is worth all of our time? Tell us all what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If we have anything further to share for Sifu, though, we will add it here. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of that.
