The Original Cast Is Now All-In For Evil Dead: The Game

Evil Dead

Evil Dead: The Game now has the entire original cast from Evil Dead in the game in some major form

Things seem to be shaping up well for Evil Dead: The Game, even if we still have to wait until February to be able to experience it. There is still no word on the specific date or form that we will be able to add this title to our collection and it feels like Saber Interactive is just waiting to jump scare us all with that. Just as they did with the announcement that the full cast from the original Evil Dead will not be in the game in some form or another. The voices of Linda (Betsy Baker) and Shelly (Theresa Tilly) are now confirmed to give us more of that authentic feel to the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC when it does drop. All of us hardcore fans can rejoice just a bit more as we count the days.

Now for the rub part of all of this just in case you missed the little tidbit mixed in. These two will be in Evil Dead: The Game but not as playable characters, currently. That is still left to Cheryl, Scotty, and of course Ash. Linda and Shelly are going to be in the game via special appearances and nothing more as of right now. This could be linked to the recently announced solo player mode that could have us going through some of the events of the original Evil Dead or it could be through various other scenes where the two need to be saved by the core heroes of it all. That is at least my assumption on what that could mean. It could also just be here for more world-building and keeping as true for the fans as possible. I would just like to figure that they would not take the time to model and record audio if they did not have plans down the line to add them in as a playable option after the game launches out there.

Evil Dead: The Game — Gameplay Overview

As you stoked to see that the full line-up from the original Evil Dead will be in here in some form or another? Do you think it will be only a matter of time before we get them all as a playable option or will that be a pipedream? Is it odd that we are not hearing much from the 2013 film added in here or is that something fans would not want to see mixed in? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish to. We will certainly keep all of the news for Evil Dead: The Game flowing out there, so be sure to keep an eye on the site for all of that and much, much more.
