Avengers
The release for Spider-Man in Marvel’s Avengers is set down for us to add one more character to the Avengers roster
It took quite a bit of time, but it looks like Spider-Man will finally be hitting Marvel’s Avengers. This was the character that had so many pre-ordering in on the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, as the rest seem to be missing out for now, but we never had anything beyond the logo for the character from Crystal Dynamics. That is still mostly what we have here, though, but we do know that he will be swinging in with the next major update for Marvel’s Avengers. An update that will be hitting us all on November 30th. Just not for those playing the game on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. He is still exclusive to the Sony properties, as was to be expected.
Outside of that, we do not have much more to look at for the character, but it is coming. It does sound like Peter will be an outsider to the core of the Avengers even though he is there to help them all. Something that feels a little off in an Avengers game, but given that he will have his own issues with AIM here, it kind of makes sense. I hope it will all make more sense and we will get some new gameplay as we did for the core campaign of it all. The latest characters have helped with some of that in the past, but it all still boils down to the same levels and rush to a location style of it all. I do hope that they give us something closer to the other Sony versions of the character, but that could be asking a bit too much for now.
Peter Parker uncovers AIM’s new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable. He must partner with the Avengers to stop this looming threat, and forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow while keeping his identity hidden. As a Hero accustomed to working solo, he struggles with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?
Will Spider-Man get you fully back into the Marvel’s Avengers gameplay here? Do you think that he will look closer to what we know from the past titles or will it be a bit off just as the other characters have looked and acted thus far? Will we ever get more of the campaign style of the game or will it be the same grind we have had since the launch? Tell us what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. We will keep the updates for Marvel’s Avengers coming at you as best as we can. Just be sure to keep checking back for all of that and much more in the future.
