Grand Unifier Raker Is Here For Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy

Guardians

A new scene from Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy is here to give us another character from the Guardians line up out there

The cast of characters in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy just keeps getting larger and larger as we inch towards that October 26th release date. Not in terms of playable characters, as Eidos-Montréal has set those for now, but in the way of the supporting cast or antagonists we will have to overcome in the universe. Some of them have been fairly standard and now we are back with a new deep-cut into the Guardians history with the Grand Unifier Raker showing up on the scene to give an offer the team cannot really refuse. No matter how much it looks like they will be trying to get out of it all with the situation seeming rather grim by the end of the trailer here.

The scene is not overly long or filled with much in the way of any gameplay as we have seen in the past. Just a whole lot of talking from our Guardians and a show of force from the Grand Unifier to build up to the next scene that will come. Given that Raker's origins have been slightly altered from the comic origins and how it leads into the Matriarch, it is hard to say how important all of this will be. We do get a look at how NVIDIA's DLSS ray-tracing builds in to the world for Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, though, so there is that bonus to be excited for and enjoy. If you are looking for more on Raker too, there also happens to be another version of this trailer with the explanations of the origins just a bit more. Although, you can really get the understanding from the version we see here now.

Did you know who this character was before this trailer or was that a deeper cut into the Guardians lore for you? Do you think that there will be a whole lot of changes to the character or will it be just the minor things as explained above? Could this be a boss fight of some sort or will they be here to just move the story along? Give us all of those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If there is something new for Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, know we will add it all to the growing list here. Hopefully, we will all have enough to get properly hyped over and not too many things to spoil the fun.
