Avengers
The release date for the next expansion for Marvel’s Avengers is coming in a few weeks to bring Black Panther into the Avengers fold
The biggest tease we have been waiting to hit Marvel’s Avengers is about to come here with Black Panther joining into the fight as the war heads to Wakanda in the game. The expansion and character have been known about for almost a year now and Crystal Dynamics is going to be dropping him in on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on August 17th. Yes, the War For Wakanda is hitting Marvel’s Avengers then and for the same price it was offered up for before; free. The best kind of way to get the game to expand and offer us all more to enjoy in the mix. Even if some of us are still waiting for our Spider-Man to join in the fight too. If he still will make it in.
Not only will this expansion bring us the third playable character into the mix for the Avengers, but it will expand the single-player campaign with another 25 hours of content to explore. I am hoping that it is more along the lines of the core campaign and how that went before heading into the rest of the game, but I am sure it is going to be more like the last two massive story updates with Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. That being more story but with the same maps and enemy layouts we have had since Marvel’s Avengers launched. The only thing that gives me some more hope is that we will be getting a whole new location on the game map with Wakanda, so maybe we will get to explore it as we did New York and the other locations in the single-player campaign from before. That is where the game truly shined for me.
Marvel’s Avengers — Expansion: Black Panther — War For Wakanda Cinematic
Marvel’s Avengers Expansion: Black Panther – War for Wakanda will launch on August 17 as a free update to all owners of the core game. In addition to adding Black Panther, the third new playable Super Hero, the War for Wakanda expansion also brings with it two new villains, a brand-new environment to explore, new enemies, the Birnin Zana Outpost, new solo or multiplayer Drop Zone and Threat Sector missions and more, adding the most content to Marvel’s Avengers since the game’s launch.
The War for Wakanda expansion adds to a game already packed with content, including eight other playable heroes, more than 25 hours of single-player campaign content (from the core release through the Expansion), and endless multiplayer action for up to four players. In addition, new modes and events are being introduced regularly, and dozens of outfits inspired by Marvel comics and movies are available to customize players’ favorite Super Heroes.
Is this the DLC you have been waiting for to come to Marvel’s Avengers here or are you still hopeful for a few others to still come down the line? Do you think we will get a solid single-player campaign to play with Black Panther or will it be like what we have already for the other story expansions? Will we ever get to see Spider-Man join in and will that be the tease at the end of this new bit of story for the PlayStation gamers out there? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish to. We will keep all the news flowing for Marvel’s Avengers as we find it, so be sure to keep checking in for all of that and much more. We hope you will not be let down by any of it at all.
