Robocop
Robocop: Rogue City has been announced to bring us all more Robocop with some new stories to experience along the way
The cop from the future is getting a new installment to the IP with today's announcement for Robocop: Rogue City. This is going to be the next title that Teyon and NACON will be putting out there for us and with another massive IP from our past out there. There is a whole lot of crime out there in Detroit still, and we are going to need someone or something to clean it all up. This is where we are seeing Robocop jump back in again. Well, at least when the game lands in 2023 for the PC and consoles. Presumably, those will be the PS5 and Xbox Series X, but given the amount of time we are going to have to wait, things could shift. All we have is the announcement for it all and not much else to work with. So, there will be many assumptions out there for now.
As I said, details are still very sparse for Robocop: Rogue City, but there does seem to be a bit out there to go on. Like that this one will be directly linked to the films from back in the 80s and to lead up the 35th anniversary of things too. Well, more the 36th with the current timeline but things could shift. No matter the case, it will be based around the adventures of the Alex Murphy from the first three Robocop films but also give us some new story and filler to play with. A lot like they did with Terminator: Resistance for those playing along with the other 80s and 90s films that were turned into recent video games. For now, have a look at the teaser that is out there and see the classic design we should be getting when the game does finally drop out there.

Have you been hoping to see a new Robocop video game out there or did you think the last film was the final nail in the coffin for the IP? How do you think they will build on those other stories and will they explain some of the stranger things that happened in them? Could we see some of the original voices make their way back in or will this all be a new thing with just homages to them all? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish. If there is more for Robocop: Rogue City, we will certainly share it all here. Just be sure to keep checking back for all of it and everything else we can scrounge up to share.
