Far Cry
The launch for Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity is here to take us all virtually back into Far Cry 3 in many locations
The world is starting to open again and some may think that is a bit on the insane side of things. Obviously, think as you will, but for those looking to venture back out there and into some fun experiences, get ready for Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity to hit us all here now. This is not a VR title that we will be able to experience in our homes but an experience that Ubisoft and Zero Latency VR have been working on to place in the various locations around the world. All so we can take some friends with us and experience more of what Far Cry 3 had to offer us. Just in a VR setting now. In an empty warehouse where we will be able to run and gun with everyone we so choose to. All with the freedom that being locked indoors does not always offer up to gamers out there.
It is hard to tell what exactly the end goal for Far Cry VR is here, but it does look like it will be a team shooter out of the facilities around the world. Having experienced some of these games in the past, it looks like we will have our teams of up to 8 able to walk through the game world and take down the various enemies out in the Rock Islands. It could also be a PvP style game too, but given how things have gone for the Far Cry titles in the past, my guess is that it will be us holding down locations or pushing into new ones through various means while walking about the environments in real life. It is launching out there as of now and you can book appointments as you are reading this, so it might just be best to give it all a go and see which way it goes for ourselves. Even the lesser titles not linked to a huge IP are a blast to play in this style, and I can only see this one adding more to the experience in general.
Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity — Launch Trailer
Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity is an upcoming location-based virtual-reality experience that will take up to 8 players back to Far Cry 3’s tropical Rook Islands, where they’ll be reunited with maniacal villain Vaas. Launching in 2021, Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity will be available at more than 45 venues across 22 countries and regions only at Zero Latency VR.
Have you been dying to get back out there and into the VR space for a Far Cry title or is it still too soon for you? Do you think we will see more of these larger IPs take advantage of this technology in the coming years or will it only be smaller tests here and there? Have you had a chance to experience this style of VR or will this make you dive in and see what the hype is all about? Let us all know down in the comments your thoughts and then let the discussion flow out there. We will keep an eye on Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity and the other experiences coming, so be sure to keep checking back for all of that and much more in the coming days.
