Oddworld
The release date for Oddworld: Soulstorm is set and we have a new look at how Oddworld has evolved with some new gameplay
I love when we get back-to-back updates for games as we just did for Oddworld: Soulstorm. Last week we had a little bit of a tease as to how the game is going to look and this week, we get a full gameplay breakdown from Oddworld Inhabitants during the PlayStation State of Play stream. That and we have a release date for Oddworld: Soulstorm set as April 6th with the game being one of the PS+ titles for April on the PS5 specifically. All kinds of great news for those that can take advantage of it. For the rest, we get to see just what will bring us back into the IP to try to save Abe and his people once more.
Just as we have seen before, there is a full crafting system in Oddworld: Soulstorm there to help Abe and the other deal with more of the enemies and hazards out there. Abe will also have the ability to loot and pickpocket enemies in the world to get the crafting items too. All while using new ways to sneak or attack everything in the game's world as we so choose. We can go all stealth or all combat and any combination between the two extremes in Oddworld: Soulstorm. Granted, I have a feeling that some sections will make life easier if we go with one over the other, but it does not sound like we will be forced one way or another. Very interesting to see and you can get that update just a bit lower down the page if you so want too.
Oddworld: Soulstorm — Sony State Of Play!
Oddworld: Soulstorm, coming April 6th, 2021 to the Epic Games store, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5.
Oddworld: Soulstorm will be the PS5 PS+ game of the month for April, meaning if you have a PS5 and are a PS+ member, you get to play it at no cost. If you are not a PS5 PS+ member, you can purchase it for the same price as the PS4 and PC versions for $49.99 USD
Do you think that these new features in the game will add to the overall fun of the Oddworld IP or will they be here for this game and then vanish in the next? Will you be going in as a pacifist or will you take out all of Abe's anger on everyone as you move through it all? Does having it on the PS+ list for April make it more likely for you to give it a chance or will it only be a small section of gamers that will still be able to take advantage of that? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If there is anything further to share for Oddworld: Soulstorm, we will share it here. Please keep checking in for all of that and more.
