The release date for Hood: Outlaws & Legends is now set down with pre-order allowing early access to Hood a few days early
There is now a date set for when we can expect to head into the world of Hood: Outlaws & Legends to try to be the best thief team as possible. That date set down as May 10th for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC from Sumo Newcastle. A little bit of a wait for us to go through, sure, but it is something to look forward to if you have been pining for a game in this vein. Not to mention a new way to look at the Robin Hood lore that we have seen in various other forms over the years. Just in a 4v4 multiplayer setting to take home the biggest score to the forests.
That is not the only bit of good news here for Hood, as we have a new gameplay video to take in with this announcement and the word that pre-orders are open. There does not sound like there is a massive extra to be had by pre-ordering just yet. That is if you do not want to have access to Hood: Outlaws & Legends on May 7th instead of the 10th. That is one of the bigger bonuses all so you can get the jump on those who are picking it up on the day or later. You will get to handle the eight characters launching for the game at the time and all of the other various things in the game. All to memorize the maps for a few more days than others for the true advantage. If that is what are going to call it for now.

Eight outlaws, four legends
Every game of Hood: Outlaws & Legends starts with two teams of four players, fighting each other and the State to find, steal, and return the riches unfairly taken from the people. Four distinct characters with thousands of variations await, providing endless combinations and playstyles to adopt while outsmarting foes and executing the perfect heist with your friends.
Experience a gritty, violent, medieval world where every action has deadly consequences and life can be lost quickly, and brutally. Earn rewards and evolve your characters starting May 7, 2021, with a full release on May 10.
Alongside early access from May 7, pre-ordering also comes with the Forest Lords cosmetic pack for free. The Forest Lords pack includes a skin for each character and weapon in the game. The Year 1 edition is also available for pre-order, giving access to Hood and three Battle Passes due to be released post-launch, after the initial free Season 0.
