Second Extinction is getting an Early Access for PC gamers so we can help shape how Second Extinction’s dino hunting will go down
Good news for those who need a bit of dinosaur hunting during their quarantine life, as we are getting an Early Access for Second Extinction this coming September. When in September, we have yet to get that word specifically. We just know it will be coming and PC gamers will be able to help shape how Second Extinction goes from now until Systemic Reaction finally puts it into a gold status. Most likely that will be some time next year but maybe sooner if all goes well. We will not fully know until then, but at least some of the gamers out there will have a chance to see and give it a play.
For those that may not be able to get in on this version of Second Extinction, it does look like we will have new things to look at besides others playing the game on streams. Not the most exciting of stuff there, but here we do have a new trailer to see how we will be gearing up to head out and reclaim our world. I am not sure if it will be us reclaiming it or them as the dinosaurs did come first. If I am gathering it right from what I know of Second Extinction, we are the ones who brought them back to the level they are at now. So it seems like we are more or less causing a specicide more than saving the day. I guess it depends on which side of the story you are on.

Systemic Reaction, a creative division of Avalanche Studio Group, has revealed that Second Extinction, the intense online co-op shooter in which teams of up to three players battle to reclaim Earth from mutated dinosaurs, will enter Steam Early Access for PC in September 2020.
Second Extinction delivers non-stop action, forcing players to think fast and shoot faster in quick but intense combat operations across a dangerous frozen world. Fight side by side with your friends against a variety of beastly predators long thought extinct — now mutated and deadlier than ever!
The heart of that battle is Second Extinction’s global metagame: the War Effort. By slaying dinos, completing missions, and taking on additional activities around the world, players will impact the threat level designation and have a hand in deciding the level of challenges they'll face planetside. This constant wave of conflict will affect the kind of enemies, activities, rewards and more you’ll encounter in any given region.
