Hitman 3’s VR Support Is Much More Than Just A New View

Hitman

A new developer diary for Hitman 3 is here to highlight more for the Hitman VR we are going to get with the launch

There was a huge bit of news when it was announced that Hitman 3 was going to bring the whole thing into a VR space. We had a little bit of gameplay there and IO Interactive said we would see a bit more in the future. Now is the future and here we are with a new developer diary for Hitman 3 that focuses on the VR aspect of it all. Something that is a huge drive for me to head back into the World of Assassination besides just the basic gameplay in the franchise. Now we get to see how this will shift how we play the game if we so choose and have the ability to do so.

In the Hitman VR part of the game, we will still be in the same environments and missions we have experienced so far and will in the core game. All just in the VR view. Also with the fact that we will have to truly be in that mode when it comes to combat and stealth too. Sure, we can shoot around corners much better than Agent 47 in the core game, but we also have to worry about accidentally bumping enemies with the weapon before killing them. We will also have to worry about the visibility when going stealth that we normally do not have to worry about in Hitman in general. It will be a new task but something I know I am excited for.

Hitman 3 — VR: Become The Hitman

After our surprise announcement of Hitman VR, we’re excited to share insights into Hitman 3’s VR support and talk about what you can expect from this new way to play the game.

Our second ‘Developer Insights’ video is called Become the Hitman and features various members of the IO Interactive team talking about Hitman VR and what went into making it. We’ve also packed in some new and unseen VR footage of locations that you know and love from Hitman 1 and Hitman 2. Enjoy!

Did you expect that Hitman VR was going to force these aspects and needs in the real world or did you think it would just be the viewport? Do you think it will make it easier to defend ourselves in VR or much more difficult? Do you think we will be able to get the special instinct view or will it truly be limited here? Let us know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If we have more to share for Hitman 3 or the VR aspect, we will obviously have it all here. Just be sure to keep coming back for all of that and much more.
