Mortal Shell
Mortal Shell has an official release date now as Mortal Shell leaves beta and goes into a gold status for us all to enjoy
The next big Soulslike action-RPG, Mortal Shell, is almost here and it looks like it is going to be even closer now for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hot off the beta that Cold Symmetry and Playstack held, we now have a release date that will place the game firmly in our hands this month. When in this month? Well, now we know that the full version of Mortal Shell will be launching on August 18th here. Yeah, only a few weeks from now and we will be able to dive in and keep on dying out there for fun. All while trying to do better with each new husk we get to inhabit in the game's world.
While having a date to look for is nice, not all of us where part of that beta for Mortal Shell and we need more to take in and get excited over. Thankfully, that is why we have a new trailer that not only gives us that date above but a new look at the game. Also some new aspects that we have yet to see in Mortal Shell by the way of the Ballistazooka and a look at a fourth "shell" we can take over named Solomon. Not much is offered for the latter there, but Mortal Shell's Ballistazooka is a bit self-explanatory if you break down the name a bit. It is a big weapon we will have that will shoot heavy iron bolts at a devastating speed that are powerful enough to impale enemies and pin them onto nearby structures.
Mortal Shell — Release Date
Following the outstanding response to the Mortal Shell Beta, which was downloaded by more than 350,000 players in one week and surpassed more than 6 million views across Twitch and YouTube, developer Cold Symmetry and publisher Playstack are thrilled to announce that the dark action-RPG will be available in digital stores worldwide on August 18, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
The game’s release date was revealed in an enthralling new trailer, which for the first time showcased Mortal Shell’s ranged weapon, the Ballistazooka. Capable of launching heavy iron bolts at devastating speed, the Ballistazooka is powerful enough to impale enemies and pin them onto nearby structures. The trailer also provides a new glimpse at more of the game’s fearsome adversaries, its stunning landscapes, and the mysterious fourth Shell, Solomon.
Did you have fun in the beta for Mortal Shell and are looking forward to this full launch now? What do you think the new shell will offer besides being overly mysterious? How difficult will the Ballistazooka be to find and use in the game and will it be well worth the effort in the long run? Let us know those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all there. If there is more to share for Mortal Shell, we will obviously share it all here. All you need to do is keep coming back here for all of that and much more.
