When something cool comes out, everyone and their father likes to try and cash in on it. So it should be no big surprise that when the Sequel to one of last year's biggest films, which had it's own game, there was a sequel to said game also announced to go along with it. So yes, you will see and hear a bit more Iron Man.
Yesterday, Sega announced that they are currently working on the game. Tweaking the current game engine and game play to make a better game for this next film/game based on the film. Outside of that, there is not much more announced about this new game. Makes since since there is not much announced about the next film as well. But Sega was nice enough to state at the end to stay tuned for more information in the future. So we'll see how long it will take before we get more than the 2010 release year.

SAN FRANCISCO (February 3rd, 2008) – SEGA® of America, Inc today announced a continuation of their existing partnership with Marvel Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:MVL) to include Iron Man 2™, the video game. The multi-platform title is slated to come out in 2010 along with the Marvel Studios film of the same name, a sequel to the 2008 box office triumph distributed by Paramount Pictures.
"We are thrilled to build on the success of the Iron Man phenomenon and work with Marvel and Paramount on another epic project," says Simon Jeffery, President of SEGA of America, Inc. "SEGA and Marvel are collaborating closely to ensure we deliver an authentic Iron Man experience."
The game is currently in production at SEGA Studios San Francisco. SEGA has continued to refine its game engine so that players can expect an entirely new and enhanced game play experience. Stay tuned for more information about Iron Man 2, the video game.
