Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is getting multiplayer added in post-launch and after various other DLCs hit Cyberpunk 2077 in other forms
We can now confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to have a multiplayer component in its mix. This is something that feels like it was not needed, but I am guessing that CD Projekt RED has done their research and figured out that it is something that gamers want. It may not be my jam specifically, but I know I am the minority here for that and Cyberpunk 2077. I know I just want to play the core game myself and am looking forward to April 16th when I start it all up. We can all live our best lives though…
This news comes right from the source where the developer confirmed the feature was in the R&D phase and shifting into a full thing for Cyberpunk 2077. It is currently aiming to come after the planned DLC and other free DLCs we know about. Multiplayer is currently stated to be coming after all of that so your guess is as good as any as to when you will be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 with all of your friends. Just know that it is coming and that they are looking to bring on more team members to do it. That means that no one will be pulled off the core game to try to tack on multiplayer. Something that is always a worry in these regards.
2/2 The plan for now is to deliver Cyberpunk 2077 in April, then follow up with DLCs (free!) and single player content, and — once we’re done — invite you for some multiplayer action.

Did you think it was only a matter of time for Cyberpunk 2077 to get multiplayer or did you expect it to always stay a solo kind of thing? How do you think it will all play out in multiplayer and will it be close to the tabletop version of it all? Does this mean that we could see more classes of characters in the mix than what we have or will it be the same all the way through? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. As the news flows out for Cyberpunk 2077, we will keep adding it to the site. Just be sure to keep logging back in for it all.
