Mortal Kombat 11 Is Now Announced & Coming Sooner Than Expected

Mortal Kombat

A surprise announcement for Mortal Kombat 11 just happened and it looks like new things are coming to the Mortal Kombat universe with this next title

During last night's Game Awards, we were all surprised to finally see the announcement of Mortal Kombat 11 on stage with an amazing looking cinematic intro for the game. All of which came about as a surprise when Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios was brought out to present the award for a genre he is not known for and the below trailer started to play. It is all cinematic and no actual gameplay to view here, but it does show us a little bit for Mortal Kombat 11 and also gives us the surprise that it will be launching on April 23rd for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch. Yes, you saw all of those platforms correctly given the past of it being only on the two big consoles over the past years.

Before you dig into the new trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, there is a little bit more to take in as well even if it is not directly explained here in the trailer. It looks like this title will offer up character customization for this game and if it is like what we see in the trailer, it will be like Injustice 2's version of it all. Same characters, but different gear to change their look. Not the biggest of shocks for Mortal Kombat 11, but it is something that is coming and I am guessing we will know more on January 17th when the first community event for this game will go down. I am guessing this is where we will get even more details on bundles and other New characters coming to the game.
