Darksiders III’s Release Date Is Set With Some Amazing Editions

Darksiders

The release date for Darksiders III has been set now and we have a few editions of Darksiders III that will start an apocalypse on our wallets

What originally seemed like a leak of sorts for Darksiders III has officially turned into all kinds of amazingness as we now have a release date officially set for the game. Not only that, but it looks like in addition to that Gunfire Games and THQ Nordic have put together some rather epic collector's editions for the game as well. One of which will set you back $400 USD to pick up Darksiders III, but from the looks of it, it will be worth the money. Just be sure to start saving up so you can get your copy of the game in one of the many different forms before November 27th. That is now the official release date for the game.

You can see the large bundles you can pick up for Darksiders III, but the big ones that will catch your eye will be the Apocalypse Edition ($400 USD) and the Collector's Edition ($150 USD). These are where the usual statues come in for the game with the Collector's getting an 11" tall version of Fury. This will be part of the Apocalypse Edition as well, but will be joined by 10" versions of Death, War, and Vulgrim as well. We will have to wait until the possible Darksiders VI before we will get all of the horsemen in a nice stature form I guess. Hopefully, we will have an option to just get that one to add in the future.

What does strike me as odd here is that these editions of Darksiders III do not come with the planned DLC that the other digital bundles come with. It looks like Gunfire Games will have two bits that will launch after the game at some point, but as of right now will be an extra purchase for those who go with the big bundles. This always bothers me as it makes no sense to charge so much and then not include the DLC. Other developers and publishers do this all the time and it looks like Darksiders III will be another title in the mix to do it as well. At least as of this posting as the DLC may be included but not listed here with the announcements and videos.

If that was not enough to get you ready for Darksiders III, we also have another bit of gameplay to look at for the game as Fury goes into a Flame mode in the game. More or less, it looks like an "overdrive" mode where Fury will ignore fire damage and most likely deal out a whole lot more. It is hard to tell as all we have is the short video here showing that, but it should be safe to assume that is the case. It is how it has been in the other Darksiders titles, so why not here? Have a look at it and see if you see something different. Then get ready to wait until November 27th to be able to hop back into the universe here.
