Fade To Silence
A new title, Fade To Silence, has been announced and Fade To Silence will be taking us on a post-apocalyptic adventure soon with Early Access
Here we go with another video game being announced at the end of the year as Fade To Silence was given a soft announcement, then a full announcement in the last few days. You may have seen or heard about THQ Nordic teasing something and this is it. A new title from Black Forest Games that whisks us away to a post-apocalyptic future where the world is also covered in constant snow. Endless snow and all kinds of horrible creatures that we will have to face off within Fade To Silence. At least if it tickles your fancy and you want to join in the Early Access that fires off on December 14th for the game on PC. Or just wait until it fully launches and play it on the PS4 or Xbox One as well. You can choose.
Anyways, Fade To Silence has us in the role of a man named Ash who is a natural leader but seems to not have anyone to lead in the following trailer. Unless he is leading himself through the frozen wilds here to scavenge for supplies and stuff to keep going. Going he must as well as the weather in Fade To Silence will be constantly shifting and changing to give a dynamic feel to it all and surviving the freezing world is one other aspect of the game. It would seem a bit off if it was featured so heavily here and did nothing but make the world look white and beautiful to those weirdos out there who enjoy all of that frozen water stuff. Super weirdos…
Fade To Silence — Announcement Trailer
In Fade To Silence, players survive as Ash, a natural leader who must battle eldritch monsters and the elements in a post-apocalyptic environment blanketed in endless winter. Early Access launch will introduce players to the concept of simple mission as a full expedition, whether collecting materials, upgrading equipment, building your camp, or defeating horrific supernatural creatures. Players will continually struggle to navigate dynamic, accumulating snow, real-time snow trails, and completely immersive weather effects such as blizzards.
As you can see in the trailer here, Ash will need to hunt and kill in Fade To Silence. He will also need to dodge weird glowing things out of the ground that I am guessing are linked to the "eldritch monsters" that also plague the lands. It looks like he will have a few weapons to help with all of that, but some of these things look like they will need more than just a hunting bow to take down. It is all a game, so it could just be that way. I guess we will know for certain when Early Access starts here tomorrow and we can truly see what Black Forest Games has for us with Fade To Silence.
What do you think about Fade To Silence as it stands here? Do you see a reason to claim the character is a natural leader as he looks to be isolated and alone? What do you think of when you hear "eldritch monsters" that will be looming around the frozen landscapes? Let us have those thoughts and more down in the comments. As Fade To Silence is kicking off an Early Access tomorrow, we should have further details soon. Keep close to the site here to make sure you get to see all of them as they flow out there.
