Shadow Of War
It looks like Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War has been delayed a bit as the team aims to make Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War a better title…somehow
I hope you weren't still looking for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War to launch this August as it has sadly been delayed out from the initial date we were given. It looks like Monolith Productions needs more time to perfect the game and the Nemesis gameplay so now we have to wait. How much longer of a wait? Well, it looks like Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War will now be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 10th now instead of August 22nd. Not the biggest of delays, but it is a delay none the less and now we have to wait just over an extra month to get back into the mix of the franchise. Sad days for now.
Oddly as it comes to this delay, it doesn't seem like there is a solid reason for it outside of the team stating they need more time to make Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War an "amazing game." From the looks of what we had already it was well on the way already, but I guess there was more work needed that they didn't plan on. At least it wasn't canceled for now. We can look at the bright side there at least. It is a delay and Shadow Of War will hopefully be completely better for it. That is how it is supposed to work after all. Right?
Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War Will Now Launch Worldwide On Oct. 10, 2017
Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War expands gameplay in every dimension, including the massive open world, the story, the RPG systems, and personal player stories of the Nemesis System. As with Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor, Monolith Productions is committed to delivering the highest quality experience. In order to do this, we have made the difficult decision to move our launch date to ensure that Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War will deliver on that promise.
We understand that it might be disappointing to have to wait a little longer for the release and are sorry for the delay, but we are working hard to make an amazing game. We’re excited to show more at E3.
- The Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War Team
If you aren't puzzled by the delay here for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War, let us remind you of the latest gameplay that Monolith Productions gave us all not too long ago. It looked pretty damn good so far, but as I suspected, it was most likely a lot of sizzle and not as much gameplay for us. Hopefully what they have to show us at E3 will blow our minds for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War and keep that excitement rolling on into October as we all wait a bit longer. Maybe a bigger collector's edition for the game will be coming as well. We can only hope…
