Watch Dogs 2
A new pre-order bonus for Watch Dogs 2 has been announced and it looks like the Zodiac Killer will be running around Watch Dogs 2 now
It sure does look like Ubisoft likes putting in famous serial killers into their games and Watch Dogs 2 is yet another one that is getting an old killer in the mix. Well at least if you pre-order the game before November 15th that is. Or are at least willing to wait a little bit after the game launches and the DLC shows up on the respective stores out there for the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. No matter the case though, it looks like the Zodiac Killer is coming back to San Francisco and we will be tasked with hunting the killer down and most likely putting them behind bars.
Okay, so it may not be the actual Zodiac Killer here though as it does look to be a copycat more than anything. Wouldn't that throw us all for a loop if the real-world killer chose to spin up Watch Dogs 2 and saw all the killings popping up in the game just as they did before? That's why we have a copycat I guess; that and the fact that the killer would have to be into their 60's at least and that wouldn't make much of a challenge for the crew when the final confrontation actually went down. Hence, a copycat and the challenge can be placed in there without worry of much else. Maybe the victim's families but that's not for us to worry on right now.
Watch Dogs 2 — Zodiac Killer Mission
An unwanted ghost of San Francisco’s past has resurfaced after fifty years. A killer is staging the bodies of his victims all over Oakland like the infamous Zodiac Killer of the Sixties, and he’s taunting the police and news outlets with coded messages. Will you succeed in decrypting the messages and hunting down the copycat?
In addition to the story mission here, it looks like we'll get some extra threads to wear in Watch Dogs 2 with this DLC. A nice prison jumpsuit looking number with a great and funny shirt to go with it. I am a bit confused on why Ubisoft chose to give us that ensemble for this DLC but that is what it is and we'll have to deal with it. Or not; depending on if you pre-order or not of course. But there we have the long and short of it all. Now to see if the real-world case could be solved in this manner. Wouldn't that also be a trip?
Does this new pre-order bonus inspire you to give Watch Dogs 2 a pre-purchase or no? Why do you think we have the prison jumpsuit look here and not something more akin to the Zodiac Killer? How long of a wait do you think those who don't pre-order will have to wait to play the DLC? Let us know and discuss in the comments below.
