Call Of Duty
It looks like Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available to play right now for those who pre-ordered Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Earlier in the week we were able to see the launch trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. We thought it was a bit odd for Activision to pump this out almost a month before the launch of Infinity Ward's upcoming title that it came bundled with but we rolled with it. Especially since it was looking like you needed to have the physical disc for Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare in the system to actually give the game a play. That is until now for those who have happened to pre-order it all on the PS4 as there is a nice little surprise going on right now. Sorry to you PC and Xbox One gamers as timed exclusives are still a thing forced on us.
As of right now, gamers who pre-ordered Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Legacy or Digital Deluxe edition on the PS4 can download and play Modern Warfare Remastered. Yes, you can experience it all about thirty days out from the official launch and without the need of having the game's disc in the system. This makes sense as you would not be getting a physical disc if you ordered digitally but that is just semantics. It doesn't take away the fact that you can experience Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered right now well before launch. Just to get a refresher I guess.
Capt. Price is back! Starting today (10/5/16), PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system fans who pre-purchase the Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy or Digital Deluxe editions can begin playing the Modern Warfare Remastered campaign 30-days early and relive one of the most classic and hallowed campaigns in video game history. Originally hailed as one of the greatest games ever made, in the remaster gamers can fight alongside the SAS and USMC leaders in such classic missions as “All Ghillied Up,” “Shock and Awe,” “Charlie Don’t Surf” and more.
Sadly, none of this news seems to talk about pre-orders for the new Call Of Duty that happen after October 5th and if they will get access to the remastered title early but given that Activision is trying to get as many sales of Infinite Warfare set up early I am going to go on a limb and say that they will be honored too. It makes sense that they wouldn't lock out fans who had to hold off on pre-ordering just a bit and now see the cool addition being offered up and are ready to make the jump. Then again, this is a timed exclusive kind of thing so it could be just a reward for those who pre-ordered before today (10/5/16).
Did you happen to pre-order early and have been able to start playing Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered right now on their PS4? Did you just pre-order after this announcement and have been able to take advantage of the early access to the game? Do you think we'll ever get to a point were timed exclusives will no long be a thing, or platform specific bonuses for that matter? Let us know what you are thinking down in the comments and discuss.
