Last we heard on Dishonored 2 was the release date of November 11th this year and that we would get to see the game in action during Bethesda's big E3 showcasing and most likely on the floor. As it looks though Arkane Studios didn't want us all to have to wait that long and we now have some new screenshots for the game. Screenshots and a few bits of concept art that helped bring Dishonored 2 to life and soon to our PS4, Xbox One, or PC. Thus we have it all to bring to you so you can get a sneak peek before the larger reveal.
The first thing that will be noticeable here for Dishonored 2 is the level of upgrades the game's engine has gone through and that the art department has put into the title. I don't remember the original game looking this "clean" (poor choice of words) but it does. Even if all of the characters have the same distorted look about them that fits back into the game's original look. They still chose to not go with hyper realistic even though it does look like they could have pulled that off without a hitch.
There is a whole lot going on here in terms of game tidbits as well as the graphical updates. We get a look at where the cities have progressed to since the events of the first Dishonored as well as good look at a lot of the enemies we will need to take down. Also we have a look at how some of the powers have been altered or upgraded for Dishonored 2 while in action. I know I see at least Blink and Infestation here at a minimum. Have a look for yourself though and see what little bits you can pick out even in the stills.
What were you able to see here for Dishonored 2? Are you impressed with the visual updates from the previous title or is it just what was expected? Are you curious as to why the other main character in the game was almost completely left out here? Let us know what you are thinking and feel free to discuss in the comments below. As we get more on Dishonored 2 we will have it all here for you. Keep your browser tuned into the site here so you can be certain you have seen everything there is to offer for the game before and after the big reveal.
