The Walking Dead
In a recent interview it was revealed that The Walking Dead from Telltale will be getting a third season and build off where The Walking Dead left us all
Hopefully you haven't given up on Clementine from The Walking Dead just yet as it turns out that we are getting a third season for the game and getting it before the end of the year. At least that is what has been stated in a recent interview with the CEO of Telltale Games. Hopefully you remember all of your previous choices and the story of The Walking Dead so far as it looks like the different endings we had to choose from will not be the true end of it all.
The multiple endings thing from season two of The Walking Dead has to be one of the big contributing factors for such a delay between it all but we are assured that the team over at Telltale has come up with a way to incorporate your choice into the third season. Not only that but also a way to get all of our past choices added in as the cloud service currently used wasn't in the first season of The Walking Dead. My guess is that we will have a storytelling flash back sequence for just the sections with Clem so we can get back up to speed.
"When we got to Season 2, we had a plan in the back of our minds of how we would make all these endings keep those threads going forward," Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner told Mashable.
"Season 3 will take an 'unexpected' approach. Lots of people in the fan community are expecting something that neatly ties together all the possible threads, but it won't be nearly so obvious.
Of course this new season of The Walking Dead will also use the new engine that we will see in Batman once that comes out this Summer as well as all of the story branching we could ever hope for in the franchise. That is one thing that Telltale Games has seemed to master over the last few years with all of their other titles. I know The Walking Dead won't be an exception here. Now we just need to sit back and wait until SDCC for the full details and then the launch before then end of the year.
Are you excited to see that The Walking Dead is getting a third season? Did you think that there was no more to go with given how season two ended and the logistics nightmare that would cause? How do you think that Telltale will handle the branching ending that cause the characters to go in drastically different places? Let us know and discuss in the comments below.
