DOOM's Multiplayer Closed Beta Is Taking Us To Hell & Back

DOOM

The dates for DOOM's multiplayer closed beta have been confirmed and it looks like fans of DOOM will be slaying each other in Hell very soon

Looks like we all will be entering the brutal world of DOOM here soon as the multiplayer beta is only a few weeks out now. We are talking like a few weeks as it is currently slated to run from March 31st to April 3rd. At least if you picked up id Software's earlier title Wolfenstein: The New Order as it looks like Bethesda isn't fully ready to open the floodgates for DOOM's multiplayer to the world just yet. At least they are trying to work out some of the bugs earlier on than the week before unlike some other recent titles…

As with all of these kinds of things this isn't going to be the full multiplayer mode coming to DOOM when it launches on May 13th. This beta will only include the Team Deathmatch and Warpath modes for the game. It will also only be playable on two of the maps; Heatwave and Infernal. It isn't everything but it is at least something and you can get a small look at it in the most recent trailer that id Software has put together for our viewing pleasure. Have a look just below.

DOOM — Multiplayer Trailer

While the DOOM multiplayer beta will only have a few maps and modes it does look like there will be a plethora of never-before-seen weapons, armor, taunts, and hack modules that have yet to be shown to the public. Of course it will only be a few days after until we get to know all of those ins and outs but those in the beta will get to have a little more fun in this aspect. I am a bit curious on what could be in there that we all haven't seen for DOOM just yet. My guess would be that there is just the modded and upgraded weapons we've used from the franchise's past.

Are you pumped for the DOOM or just the full release of the game? Are you going to be lucky enough to give the beta a go once it goes live? What extra items do you think we will get to see in the beta before the internet or Bethesda just throws them out there for the world to see? Let us know and discuss away in the comments below.
