New gameplay and a release window for Final Fantasy XV have been given to us all out of PAX and it looks like Final Fantasy XV will be hitting in 2016
If for some reason there was any doubt that Final Fantasy XV was going to be hitting the PS4 and Xbox One in 2016 then you can set that to rest now. During PAX Prime it was announced that Final Fantasy XV was indeed coming sometime in 2016 and that we will know an exact date sometime in March of that year. This is of course right from Square Enix and no more speculation on any of it. At least until someone over there 'leaks' out the release date for Final Fantasy XV before hand to force hands in some way. Gods I hope that doesn't happen but only time will tell as we get closer to that date. Don't you love announcements for announcement like we have here for Final Fantasy XV?
Just so we all didn't go away from PAX empty handed it looks like we have a bit more gameplay for Final Fantasy XV to go along with the announcement for the announcement. This time it is more on the driving portions of Final Fantasy XV and what can be done and viewed while having your own valet move you and the team from one place to another. It isn't really all that exciting but it looks like Square Enix is making a huge deal about it so it will most likely be huge in Final Fantasy XV. If nothing else it give us all a good look at the world that has been crafted for the game and how we are going to be able to get around without having long running sprees from area to area…
Final Fantasy XV — Driving Gameplay
It is a little interesting watching all of the characters here in Final Fantasy XV while they are driving. Maybe it is just me but you can see all of the little nuances that Square Enix has set up for each character's personality here in Final Fantasy XV. Like the fact that Noctis seems to have bigger and better things to do than just adventure with his 'bros' here as you can see him on his cell phone instead of joining in the excitement of the Final Fantasy XV road trip. This could just be me reading into things that are not actually there but fun to speculate on though so do take that with a grain of something. It is just nice to see more for Final Fantasy XV in the long run.
What do you think about the driving in Final Fantasy XV? Does it look like it is going to be something you place on auto-drive and leave or will you be getting in and out of the cars as often as Square Enix wants you to? Do you just want a release date given and some amazing gameplay shown? Talk about it and everything else Final Fantasy XV down in the comments and get the speculation train going. With other big conventions coming up I am sure that we will have a lot more on Final Fantasy XV before March so be sure to keep checking in here for all of those updates you know that you want.
