R. Mika, or Rainbow Mika, is back for Street Fighter V and it looks like she is bringing more than just something Sir Mix-A-Lot would love in Street Fighter V
Now that the Street Fighter V beta is underway, and going well from what I hear, it looks like it is time to bring out yet another fighter that will be gracing the scene when it comes to the PC and PS4. In fact it looks like Capcom is going into the Wayback Machine to pull this one up as it looks like we are getting a character that has been MIA since 1998. The character here being R. Mika, or Rainbow Mika, and she is in full swing in Street Fighter V. Something that she hasn't been since Street Fighter Alpha 3 for those trying to keep score and see how far back they have to go to see what this character is all about in the Street Fighter franchise.
Of course those who are just looking to move forward in the world with Street Fighter V can get the nice new description for R. Mika from Capcom just below. Not only that but we have some new gameplay footage of Street Fighter V that shows off Mika beating the crap, pun intended, out of Vega with a little help from her tag-team partner Nadeshiko. This couldn't get more weirdly erotic Street Fighter V fan fiction if it was written by some lonely person who has yet to learn that cats can make up for missing friends and families…
As an aspiring young wrestler, Mika dreamed of one day becoming a star in the ring, much like her idol Zangief. Training under the strict tutelage of her coach, she traveled the world engaging in random matches with street fighters in order to spread her name and popularity. R. Mika’s wrestling prowess will be on full display in Street Fighter V, as she dazzles opponents with a wide variety of high-flying moves. This time around, her wrestling tag-team partner Nadeshiko assists in the fight! By calling Nadeshiko at the right time using R. Mika’s V-Trigger ability, players will be able to set up sneaky attacks and punishing command grab mix-ups that are sure to deliver devastating amounts of damage. Players who enjoy putting on a stunning display of fear-inducing close-combat guessing games will find R. Mika a colorful and rewarding way to play.
Street Fighter V — Rainbow Mika
It is good to see that Street Fighter V is going to be getting rid of all of those crazy, over-sexualized characters in this new version. Way to fight stereotypes there Capcom and make sure that every female has a good representation in your new game. It's not like anyone in the world is going to read too much into what you have here for Street Fighter V and R. Mika here. Although I was pretty sure that when they showed off Chun-Li before they made note that they tried to bring here into respectful proportions for Street Fighter V even though she never seems to miss "leg day" in her training. I guess Nadeshiko and Zangief were prepping Mika for Street Fighter V with nothing but "butt days" in her training. Yes, I am fully aware of how that sounds.
I guess it shouldn't matter too much as a game like Street Fighter V isn't about making the video game world a nice new place for all but about some good old fashion beat downs. The kinds that those fantasizing about R. Mika used to, or currently do, get on a daily basis from their peers. I am sure that Capcom knows what they are doing and not trying to promote that at all with Street Fighter V though. It's not like humans have any unrealistic body image issues and the media like this takes any extra steps to instilling this in anyway at all. Street Fighter V is just a game after all and all humans should be able to be beaten equally no matter the crazy exaggerations that they may have upon themselves.
Now that you've seen R. Mika back in Street Fighter V and had a moment to digest, what do you think? Did you miss the character and have been hoping to see her again before now? Does it look like Capcom knows their audience or not? What do you think about all of the moves and action you just saw? Let us know and discuss in the comments as we all want to know. With the Street Fighter V beta underway and new characters still to be shown you better know that we will have the updates here and all of the commentary you most likely don't care about. But we will still have all the new videos and gameplay as we get closer to Street Fighter V's launch and you'll want to keep checking in here for all of that moving forward.
