It looks like we now have a release date for the Darksiders 2: The Deathinitive Edition; at least if you want to take what Amazon currently has listed completely to heart. It's not like they were wrong before when they posted all of the other HD versions of Nordic Games' properties were coming. They did hit the head pretty well on the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition so I'll take it. That and I'll take the fact that they claim it will be coming to the PS4 and XBox One on October 6th of this year. Right around the perfect time to do so and hopefully offer up some great skull masks again as they did with Darksiders 2 the first time. Such an amazing bonus for the collector's edition of that game.
Now of course with the release date of the Darksiders 2: The Deathinitive Edition on Amazon that means there also looks to be a suggested retail price as they are taking pre-orders for it. For the low price of $29.99 USD, plus any shipping and handling fees, you can have the HD version of Darksiders 2 that has been given a lot of love from Gunfire Games right on your doorstep. Or where ever you happen to have your Amazon packages delivered to. I know I have to have them placed on the shores of Styx and have Charon bring them but that is all semantics for me. Your deliver of the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition should be much smoother in the long run.
If you want to see the upgrades and what you will be getting with the Darksiders 2: The Deathinitive Edition here are those comparison images from not so long ago as well as a list of all the DLC you will get bundled with Darksiders 2 here. Not a bad deal for $30 and quite a bit of time is it? I say not at all.
