If you are all hyped up for Heroes Reborn to hit the small screens again in September then you should be even more hyped as we are also getting two new video games based around Heroes Reborn as well. This was all announced via trailer at SDCC 2015 as well as naming them as Heroes Reborn: Gemini and Heroes Reborn: Enigma. The first being a game hitting consoles (most likely PS4 and Xbox One) and PC while the second one will be landing on mobile devices. Both will be part of the greater Heroes Reborn universe and will expand upon story elements but not required to enjoy the TV show at all. Unlike other TV/Video Game tie-in franchises that will remain nameless here.
Little is known about Heroes Reborn: Gemini and Heroes Reborn: Enigma outside of what can be gleaned in the following trailer. Those little bit being that Tim Kring will be setting up the stories for the game and the following descriptions for both. Have a read.
Expanding on the television story arc of "Heroes Reborn," Heroes Reborn: Gemini is a next-generation first-person adventure PC/console game that brings players into the dangerous world of Cassandra, a young woman who is determined to solve the mysteries of her past while discovering her new powers. The first-person action-puzzle mobile game, Heroes Reborn: Enigma, follows Dahlia, an evolved human with incredible powers, as she attempts to escape captivity at a secret government facility called The Quarry.
Heroes Reborn — Games Trailer
Both of these Heroes Reborn games are being developed by Phosphor Games Studio with Imperative Entertainment so if you are familiar with their works at all then you can see that Heroes Reborn is in pretty good hands. I'm not giving you a history lesson here on their past works so you can just take my word on it. None the less I am excited to see where not only Heroes Reborn goes with the franchise but also how Heroes Reborn: Gemini and Heroes Reborn: Enigma will play into it all. I loved the comic book lines that came out with the original series so here' hoping that the video games will fully expand Heroes Reborn in just the same way.
So, what do you think about the new Heroes Reborn video games coming with the show? Do you think it looks like it will be just a poor way to cash in on a franchise revitalization we have yet to put much time into so far? Will it do a better job than that Defiance game? Crap. I said I wasn't going to name names. Either way, let us know down in the comments and keep tuned in here as we will have more on the Heroes Reborn titles as Phosphor Games Studio and Imperative Entertainment let out there and you won't want to miss a thing. I am fairly sure of that…
