Gotham's Night Life Is Brutal In Batman: Arkham Knight

The days are fleeting away as we get closer to the release of Batman: Arkham Knight. That is good for two reasons. One of which being that our PS4, Xbox One, and/or PC will be full of all kind of Batman goodness real soon. The other reason being that Rocksteady really wants to show off Batman: Arkham Knight and that means more and more to look at as we wait. Hopefully not more to spoil all of the fun on June 23rd but that is why you always get the option to skip these spoiler type videos and sit on your laurels and wait for Batman: Arkham Knight all by your lonesome.

That all said, we have another Arkham Insider to look at and this time we get more of the information surrounding how Batman has changed for Arkham Knight. Not just in the aesthetics department but also in the moves and combat areas as well. You can see them all in action below but it looks like Batman will have a new Batclaw instant takedown added into his arsenal. He will also have a throw counter added in. All of that and he will be able to use enemies he has already knocked down in the mix of combat. That's a first for Batman: Arkham Knight.

To go along with the combat changes for Arkham Knight there is also a change up for movement around the city. The first major change up is that Batman will be able to do a grapple boost while gliding that will not only speed him up but have the option to turn 180° before going back into a glide. No more needing to glide around a building to go the way you want as it will now just be an option. All of which can be done once you've ejected from the Batmobile. We all knew this could be done, hopefully, but now we get a really good look at how to take flight directly from the vehicle.

Also worth a great mention here for Batman: Arkham Knight is the fact that Rocksteady has changed up Detective Mode again for this game. There are not direct explanations in this Arkham Insider but it is shown off that the Batmobile will have its own version of Detective Mode as well. Hopefully it will be more than just following tire tracks through Gotham but there is a nice little look of it in action in the Arkham Knight video below. That is on top of all the other fun little things we get to see in the video here. Have a look and enjoy.
