If you are a Star Fox and also on the list for going to E3 this year then you may be able to line up and play the game. At least if you are lucky enough to get in and willing to sit in the crazy long line that is going to inevitably be plaguing the Nintendo booth given the latest little tidbit revealed on Smosh Games. That being from Shigeru Miyamoto responding from the age old question of "when will we get to play [insert game]?" The game in question if you've been following along is of course Star Fox for the Wii U.
Here's what Mr. Miyamoto had to say about Star Fox if you don't want to sit through to the 14 minute mark or so of the below video:
I think we’ll have a version of [Star Fox] ready at E3 that everyone can play. But one of the questions that we often get is how is the GamePad being used in a particular game, and Star Fox is a game where having two screens is really important. It works really well. |
I am guessing this is of course as long as everything goes well in the development for Star Fox and they can meet their milestones. From what was shown thus far I have a feeling they will. Especially since Nintendo needs to have something like a Star Fox on the Wii U to bring people back to caring about the system in a non-passive way. Gods know they try but without Link or the titular Star Fox I know I've seen a bit of decline in the popularity of Nintendo's properties. At least among general games and not hardcore fans.
I'm excited to see if Star Fox will be playable to the public at E3. I won't wait in any lines that will consume my whole day to do so but I think it is something we can all agree with that we've wanted for the Wii U for a while now. Here's to hoping they get Star Fox playable as is hoped.
