If you missed the heading, almost 3/4ths of the country plays games, to some extent at least. Not bad numbers when you look at them. That means there has got to be something to this whole thing right? I'd say so. Gamers are not a minority; we are a majority. And we have the NPD to prove this fact for us all. Oh, and just so ya know as well, this is up from last years survey that had only 64% of the US gaming.
There are a bunch of other stats they listed, but I'm not going to get into that too much; you can check it all out at the link below. But I will comment on the second part of the heading; I find it interesting to learn that only 2-3% of that group own multiple consoles for their gaming. I was shocked to find that I fall into the 2% range of people that game on all the next-gen systems as well as my PC. In fact most of my friends are in that 2-3% range. I would have thought it much higher, but I guess I just know the minority better than I thought. :)
