Head Into The Scarlet Church In The Upcoming Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival

Hellraiser

Peel back a new look at some antagonists in the Hellraiser universe, with a new look at Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival

Just when you thought that pain-worshiping gods were going to be enough in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, we have the next wave of antagonists entering the scene. They are nothing that Saber Interactive has kept fully secret up to now, but we officially have our first look at the Scarlet Church and just what levels of pain they might be bringing to the table out there. They are a cult in the Hellraiser universe that also seems to worship the same levels of pain and depravity that the Cenobites do, so it makes perfect sense. Not to mention, they have their own motivations to stop us along the way to get the new configuration in our hands. Let us have a little look at just what the Scarlet Church is going to bring us in the game when it hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC on October 8th.

Here in the new trailers, we get to meet Marlowe in the world of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. He is the leader of the church in the game, and also seeking out the Genesis Configuration that we just happen to have in our hands. There is no telling just what Marlowe is going to do with it if he does get it away from us, but seeing what the cultists and devoted to him are willing to do, it does not look as if it is going to be pleasant. Not just because this is a Hellraiser IP game, but from the very graphic things they are getting up to in their various clubs in the world. All of which you can see in the following videos for the game. One of them is a bit tamer than the other, but we have both of them to offer up to those who want to see such sights out there. Along with a bit of the gameplay as we take down the various members who are trying to bring all of the pain that they can upon us. Have a look and get ready to wash out your eyes from all of this darkness that is coming.

The new trailer for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival peels the skin back further on one of the game’s core antagonists: Marlowe and his sacred (or sacrilegious?) Scarlet Church. Backed by an army of unholy priests, deviants, and cultists, Marlowe seeks the Genesis Configuration puzzle box for his own devious ends. With every slice and drop of blood, the Scarlet Church recruits those bold enough – or foolish enough – to covet Hell’s blasphemous temptations and gifts.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival — Scarlet Church [Redband]

Does this all fit well into the Hellraiser IP for you, and do you think that humans would truly go to these lengths for the feel of it? Will Marlowe and the church find a similar end as we have seen others have in the films, or will they be some of the ones who can actually pull off control over the Cenobites? Will this be the only reason we are fighting for our lives in the game, or will they just be a rough bump along the way in the horror? Let us discuss all that we can about this and everything else that we have for the game thus far. We will see more for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival in the coming weeks, so please keep an eye on the website and follow all of our social channels to witness all of the sights we have to offer. This still looks like it will be a return to form for the IP, so our hype is still off the charts for all of it.
