A new story video for Turok: Origins is here to give us a taste of the coming world and how we will be Turok
It is time to dive back into the setting and story of Turok: Origins, as gamescom has brought us one more look at the game as we all wait to see when it is going to land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC out there. Sure, many of us might know some of the basics for the IP from how long it has been running, but this is going to be the next one that Saber Interactive is offering up, so there is going to be a few changes. More than just knowing that we are going to be running around with guns and hunting down dinosaurs. Not that we need more than that to have a good time in our video games. In this one, though, we are going to be "the Turok," and we need to know what that means and how it will shape the experience. That is the hope, and now we can look at the story of it all to see what it means.
What was mentioned above is about the basics of what we are going to have in the game, but here we go with a bit more of the deeper things. In the game, we are going to be taking up the role of the Order of the Turok. A group of humans who are set to fight back against the dinosaurs and aliens that are looking to end all of humanity. Some are smarter than others, but you understand the basics: humans are good, and others are bad out there. With the ideals of the order, we pick up our weapons, learn our special abilities and attacks, and hunt them all down on our own. You can also do all of this with other members of the order, as Turok: Origins does have multiplayer, but all of this is to head into the Lost Lands and take it all back to ensure there is not another extinction event on the planet. Turok: Origins is the modern evolution of the classic dinosaur-hunting game series. Players will take on the mantle of the mystical Order of the Turok, heroic guardians of unimaginable power locked in a war for survival against ferocious dinosaurs and a terrifying alien threat that seeks to destroy all human life in the galaxy. Unleash devastating attacks on enemies with powerful weapons and abilities in both first-person and third-person action. Embark on a high-stakes adventure across the treacherously beautiful Lost Lands, solo or together with friends, and unravel the mysteries that hold the key to saving humanity.
