BrokenLore: DON’T LIE Has Us All Meet A New A.I. With Miki-chan

BrokenLore

A new look at BrokenLore: DON’T LIE is here, and we get to meet the companion A.I. we are getting in this BrokenLore

Just when you thought you might be able to escape some A.I. in your horror games, we're here to show off the new one coming in BrokenLore: DON’T LIE. Thankfully, this is more of a companion character in the world that Serafini Productions is building for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC than any of the slop we're getting in the real world. That's how Miki-chan is presenting, at least, and that could be different when all is said and done. We'll have to play BrokenLore: DON’T LIE to know for certain. For now, though, we can have a look at this new system in the game to see if it will help with the horror of it all, or if it will take us out of the dread we should be feeling in this new world we find ourselves in.

Those who have been following along with the series that BrokenLore: DON’T LIE is part of, this one will be a story of trauma and isolation. All with the psychological horror aspect of things, while set in Japan. As our character Junko goes through things, it looks as if we're going to have a very anime girl A.I. guiding us along the way. That would be Miki-chan here, and it does feel like a harsh deviation from the game in a visual sense. Fitting for the setting, but it does feel a little jarring to see. Even if all of the subject matter that Miki-chan will be discussing does feel like it flows in the world of BrokenLore. Even the following story that is told in the video leans into it all. Maybe this A.I. will be more of how some are turning to using things like it to cope, and all of the horrors that come from that. If that's the case, I'll completely ignore how jarring the visuals are between the A.I. and the nightmares Junko has to face.

BrokenLore: DON’T LIE — Meet Miki-chan

BrokenLore: DON’T LIE launches September 10th, 2026!

Meet Miki-chan, your infallible A.I. companion and new best friend! Listen to her story of a little girl who never told the truth and the price she paid for her tales.

BrokenLore: DON’T LIE is a Japanese psychological horror game exploring trauma, isolation, and a fractured reality where perception becomes increasingly unreliable.

Step into the life of Junko, a hikikomori whose carefully controlled world begins to unravel as the past resurfaces in ways she can no longer ignore.

Confined to her small apartment, she struggles between daily calls, fleeting moments of intimacy, and her own destructive compulsions. Her reliance on medication slowly unravels reality itself, leading her into warped visions and liminal spaces where nothing is what it seems.

Where do you stand on the A.I. we are going to see in BrokenLore: DON’T LIE? Will the cute anime girl be too jarring for you when it comes to horror? Could this be the darker aspect of the isolation that Junko is seeing out there? Will all of the lies in the story build into something bigger, as it suggests in the above video? Let's talk all of that out there in the comment section down the page here. There's still time to get more for BrokenLore: DON’T LIE before it launches on September 10th, and we'll share all that we can for it here. Watch the site and all of our socials to see when we have anything new for it. You won't want to miss out on any of the horrors that we can bring. At least they will be better than many that the real world offers up.
