Halloween
An iconic location from the Halloween IP is on display, as we have updates for the physical editions for Halloween: The Game
Even though we are still a good way out from Halloween landing on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this September 8th, it does not mean we cannot go trick-or-treating up and down some streets right now. As long as you are looking to have a nice little look at the Orange Grove Estates that IllFonic has brought to life in the game. The first of the game maps that we can expect to be surviving and stalking around in, as well as one of the iconic locations from the Halloween IP. Not a massive shocker for many, but this also comes along with the fact that there will be a physical form of the game for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S landing on October 6th, along with the fun collectibles that any horror fan would want to add to their collection. That is where more of the fun comes in.
Pre-orders are open now, and will score you a few in-game bonuses for doing so, but that's all good for the digital version of Halloween. The physical versions come with an install disc and those extras. The Collector's Edition will have all of that, along with some posters, early access to some Michael Myers skins, a few skins for the civilians, a lenticular art piece to display, along with an 8" action figure of Michael Myers to put on display for all of your Halloween needs. The cost of the collector's edition is slightly higher than we would have thought, $149.99, but maybe all of the extra surprises that are listed will make up for the extra $110 cost that the posters and action figure will run us. That does seem like a steep jump, but at least there are still a few ways to own the game, even if we will still be limited to how long they keep the servers up and running for this one.
Halloween — Orange Grove Estates Map Reveal
The physical editions for Halloween: The Game, the upcoming asymmetrical stealth horror game developed and published by IllFonic, co-published with Gun Interactive, alongside partners Compass International Pictures and Further Front, have been revealed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, launching on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. In partnership with Nighthawk Interactive physical pre-orders begin today: the Standard Edition will be available for MSRP $39.99, while the Limited Collector’s Edition will be available for MSRP $149.99.
The Halloween: The Game Standard Edition will include a copy of the game for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, an exclusive poster, and advance access to the Michael Myers Clown skin and two civilian cosmetics.
The Limited Collector’s Edition will include a copy of the game, plus an exclusive Trick or Treat Studios Shape Jump variant action figure, exclusive lenticular art, an exclusive poster, advance access to the Michael Myers Samhain and Clown skins, advance access to the two civilian cosmetics from the Standard edition and two additional civilian cosmetics, and more surprises to be revealed at a later date.
Relive the events of 1978’s Halloween Night as either a civilian trying to protect Haddonfield’s townsfolk from The Shape in 1v4 multiplayer…or take up the knife as Michael Myers himself, stalking victims one by one in either multiplayer or the single-player story mode. Today’s map reveal shows off a new, haunting location: Orange Grove Estates, an upscale neighborhood in one of Haddonfield’s affluent corners.
Multi-story houses surround a playground and basketball court, and expansive yards turn every fence and hedge into a fresh hiding (or hunting) ground. The map’s open layout reshapes how players move between structures, opening up new opportunities for collaboration while widening the lines of sight that can give a hero (or The Shape) away. The larger, multi-story homes also introduce precarious upper-floor encounters that every player will need to account for.
Malek Akkad, President of Compass International Pictures, Inc., shares, “We are excited for fans of the original film to see the iconic Wallace and Doyle houses in this new map. Gamers will get to explore the legendary homes and create their own survival tactics. Will they weave through picturesque yards, bushes, and playground equipment as they fight to outsmart the Boogeyman, or will they become the Boogeyman?”
Were you worried that Halloween was not going to have a physical edition, and why do you think that there is such a bump in price for the collector's edition? Will we still be able to play the game after the servers go down, or is all of this a solid ploy to sell the game with all of the digital talk going on out there? What other surprises do you think we will have in the collector's edition of the game, and will they more than make up for the massive jump in price? Let us all talk it out in the comment section down the page here. We will keep the Halloween fun rolling out there, so please keep on checking back in for all of that and more. You will want to follow all of our social channels, as well, so you do not miss out on a single update that we will have to offer up.
