Turok: Origins Fires Off A Bit Of Gameplay To Slay Some Dinosaurs

Turok

The first real gameplay for Turok: Origins is here, so we can all see how this will build into the Turok IP

It has been a good amount of time since we first heard that Turok: Origins, with Saber Interactive staying quiet on the title for some time now. A little too quiet, as it has been about two years since we first had the announcement, and not much else has come for the game since then. Seeing as it is still being claimed to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this coming Fall, it would be nice to see where we are in the development cycle. As you have, most likely, already figured out, here we go with our first look at the gameplay that Turok: Origins will be giving us. Along with a doubling down on being able to land the Fall of 2026 timeline that we can mark for the game's release. Enough of that, though. Let us have a look at the new gameplay footage.

Now that we have the gameplay announcement for Turok: Origins, let us temper some expectations for all of that, as it is very little gameplay. Very little and not much more than a bit of running and gunning in the world filled with dinosaurs and aliens. We do get some quick looks at all of that, along with some of the powers we are also going to have, but there is not much in the way of giving us all a solid way that the game is going to handle. This is not a terrible thing for Turok: Origins, as of now, but this is just a quick look at it all. The environments and enemy types that we do get to see will help the game to stand out from the many other first-person shooter games out there, but it would not be hard to just assume this one was going to function just like them. You can see just what I am talking about in the following video, now that you have been given the update on what we are all going to actually experience here.

Were you hoping to see more of the gameplay here after waiting for so long, or are you just glad to see something new in the Turok line for now? How much will this one stand apart from other games in the genre, or does this video indicate that it is going to function like many others with a few minor changes? When do you suspect that we will see the final version of the game out there, and will it still be able to hit the timeline that it has set for us all? Let us discuss all of this and more down in the comment section of the page here. We will keep an eye open for more to come for Turok: Origins, so please keep your eyes on the website and our social channels to see when that is ready. I have faith that this one will bring us all back into the IP; it is just being handled a little oddly with how the information is flowing. That is the hope, at least.
