Many people have asked me, “If WAW (Call of Duty: World at War) is out on the Wii, why can't COD4 be on the system.” While most of these people were 17 year olds who didn't have enough money to buy their own system so they have to play the family's Wii system which was originally bought for the 7 year old sister, I still didn't have an answer. World at War uses the COD4 engine and it worked quite well on the Wii, so I figured there wasn't any reason COD4 wasn't coming out for the Wii. I was right, but I still don't get what took them so long.
Whether Activision announces Modern Warfare 2 for the Wii is unseen, and unlikely as it would make more sense to release the sequel then the original if possible (perhaps they will release MW2 for the Wii when MW3 comes out for the other systems.). While I'm certain that COD4 will soon become the best selling FPS for the system, it'll be interesting to see if it sells as much as New Super Mario Bros, or Super Mario Galaxy 2, which are more family friendly, first party Nintendo games.
