A New Demo Is Here For Us Just In Time To Wake Up

Time To Wake Up

Out of the Steam Next Fest, we have a new demo for Time To Wake Up, and it aims to walk us through so many thrills before it’s Time To Wake Up

The demos are starting to flow out there on the PC due to the Steam Next Fest, with Time To Wake Up getting a new slice out there to entice us all. This would be that little psychological thriller title from Eye Blink Twice that we had to show off not too long ago. One where our eyes and blinking will be part of the mechanics to help get us out of the surreal mazes that will be in the game. It sounds weird and surreal, until you take a look at the gameplay for Time To Wake Up. Something that you can now do live on your PC if watching all of the gameplay footage out there is not enough for you. I'll also dive a little further into the game to help you to understand why you should give at least the demo a little try out there. It won't cost you anything but time, but I do know that can be a precious thing for a few of you.

Those just now catching up on Time To Wake Up, this is a bit of a walking-sim and stealth title that will place us in a bunch of worlds based on our memories from back in school. This is why there seem to be a lot of children 's-themed elements and levels in all of the footage we've had for the game up to now. We can move freely to traverse these memories, but we also need to make sure that we avoid all of our classmates in general. That is partially where the blinking mechanic for Time To Wake Up comes in, as that will change the surroundings, move elements, or reset things that might have gone wrong. Amongst other things that the blinking can do in the game, but that is still to be seen in the final version, where the limits are. All of this, to most likely, work through a bit of past trauma and bad memories that are keeping us locked in our heads. It could be a lot different than that in practice, but you'll need to play the game or the new demo out there to truly see where all of this is going.

Time To Wake Up is a first-person psychological thriller in which you find yourself stuck in a dream one night. No worries, though. You are not alone.

You hear a voice that is fond of your eyes. Willing to help you out, you both set out to uncover what happened back in school. Will you blink your way out, or will you succumb to the shadows of your past?

Key Features:

  • Blinking Is Thinking – Your eyes are the key out of this maze of memories. Blink and change your surroundings, switch and reset moving elements, flood whole rooms, or turn them around.
  • Surreal Madness – Alan’s obsession with this book translates into an environment that won’t allow you to leave. Do you think you can manage?
  • Traverse Your Memories – Time To Wake Up takes you through surreal school environments. Imagine dim-lit libraries, perplexing playgrounds, toilets with twists and turns, and more.
  • You’re Not Alone – In this dream, you hear a voice that will not only help you remember what happened, but also actively open doors for you (yes, also literally).
  • Avoid Your Classmates – Nothing good comes out of their staring presence piercing through your eyes. Blink and make sure not to cross paths.

Will you be giving the demo for Time To Wake Up a bit of a playthrough now? Will any of the demo elements spoil the bigger story that the game will be trying to tell? What will happen if we do run into our classmates in these dreams we are wandering in? How different will all of the blinking truly make the world as we progress through it all? Let's drop all of those thoughts down in the comment section so we can discuss them all. We'll see what else we can dig up for Time To Wake Up going forward, so please watch the site and all of our socials to make sure you don't miss out on any of it. The game does look as if it is going to be a lot of fun, and give us something we don't normally get to experience out there. Give the demo a try. What do you have to lose but a little bit of time and PC storage space during that time?
