This would be the hot air balloon title that Eldelic Games was working on that will have us piloting a weaponized balloon to hunt down a biotech experiment that has taken to the skies. That would be Bob of the Inky Blinky Bob fame there. A quirky little horror title, for sure, and if you are ready to dominate new skies and see what the game is going to bring to the community, today is the day for all of that. Beyond the novelty of the core premise of Inky Blinky Bob, there's a little bit more going on out there for us all to enjoy. Eldelic Games today launches Inky Blinky Bob, a surreal action-adventure blending stylised horror, absurdist humour, and chaotic airborne combat.

Available now on Steam for PC, inviting players to pilot a weaponised hot air balloon across a hostile archipelago while uncovering the consequences of dangerous biotech experimentation.

Stepping into the role of a detective investigating mysterious signals from a remote island chain controlled by the secretive biotech corporation Quantum Corp, players arrive to find a routine investigation quickly spiralling into something far more dangerous. Following the signals deeper into the archipelago, the case begins revealing failed experiments, mutated inhabitants, and a monstrous airborne entity dominating the skies.

The experience moves between on-foot exploration and aerial traversal, with players navigating storm-swept coastlines, abandoned settlements, and underground laboratories while uncovering the truth behind Quantum Corp’s activities.

At the centre of the journey is the player’s weaponised hot air balloon, serving as both transport and weapon while allowing travel between islands and supporting mounted weapons during airborne combat encounters. Exploring the islands and gathering materials along the way, players repair and upgrade the balloon, strengthening it against increasingly dangerous threats.

Survival relies heavily on scavenging and resource management, with players collecting scrap, gears, metal sheets, and cloth to maintain equipment while carefully managing limited medkits and ammunition. Facing enemies at close range, combat shifts to brutal encounters using weapons such as axes and shotguns.

The game embraces a stylised and surreal aesthetic, featuring exaggerated character designs, twisted environments, and dramatic skies while blurring the line between psychological horror and dark comedy. The journey builds toward a confrontation with the game’s central threat: Inky Blinky Bob, a grotesque flying octopus-balloon creature looming over the archipelago.
