A new developer diary for High On Life 2 is here, and it explains a bit more about why High On Life has a sequel
With the release date for High On Life 2 coming up on us all rather quickly, it is high time that we learned more about the game directly from the source. The source being Squanch Games and a new look at just why they made the new game. Well, beyond the desire to put more of the content out there and make more money on the hilarious first-person shooter game. That has to be a driving goal, but not the only reason we are heading back into the High On Life universe with this game. As the developer diary we have here, it looks like there will be a lot more to experience on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this February 13th than just talking guns and crazy skateboarding out there. Let us have a look.
The quick and dirty stuff we have here for High On Life 2 is that it is going to house quite a few of the classic things we enjoy, while adding in a lot more that we might not have expected. Not just with the talking guns and the skateboards, but the worlds will be larger, and the jokes are going to be hitting a mile a minute. Fingers are crossed that they will not get in the way of the story they are telling with us being an outlaw fighting against Rhea Pharma out there, and no one in the universe of High On Life sees us as doing the right thing. Maybe that is due to us being a bounty hunter before, or maybe it is because we are trying to take away all of their human pills that make their lives better at the cost of humanity. Not a bad cost to ask for, but I know I am a different beast in the mix of all of this. Have a look now and see just what else might be going down for the game from the studio.
