The great part about this whole ordeal is not only is the game the same side scrolling, beat-em-up adventure you remember, but it comes with a nice set of new 3D graphics as well. Gameplay stays as true to the arcade as possible (throwing enemies into the screen) as well as new tricks like being able to face all four directions while fighting, rather then just left and right. Analog controls have not been implemented.
Multiplayer online is also a great functionality here. Grab 4 of your friends on XBLA and head back to the year 1991 to face off with the Shredder, Krang, and so many more memorable characters.
If you're like me, you're an old fan of the fearsome foursome. With the updated graphics, this is a no brainer for downloading. Now let's hope that XBLA gets some more classic 4 player arcade games going like The Simpsons and Sunset Riders. It's like spending the night at Chuck E. Cheese and you don't even have to leave the couch. Cowabunga!
