It has been spread all over the net and news that the Nintendo Wii has been used by surgeons to hone their hand-eye coordination. Forcing the precise moves on screen for game makes them practice and perfect the minute movements that they are required to do on a day to day basis. Something I'm sure we all are glad that they do. Who wants to have long, jagged cuts that looks like you went to a butcher's shop from the 1840's? Am I right?
Using this concept and the WiiMote technology, biomedical engineering students from the University of Alabama, Birmingham and The American Heart Association, are working on some game play to teach people the perfect way to administer CPR to someone in need. In fact, 50,000 has been put forth from the AHA to get something together for possible release. They say release off the Heart Association's web page for free, but I'm guessing they meant of the Wii Store for free as well. Unless there is some weird deal from Nintendo for this.
Look for this life saving game sometime early this fall.
