Mafia
The Mafia is getting a bit closer to us all with the latest update for Mafia: The Old Country showing us our protagonist
We were all promised a nice little update for Mafia: The Old Country back when it was first announced, and it looks as if Hangar 13 is finally ready to deliver on those fun little updates. We all knew that this game was going to carry on the IP that has made a good chunk of money for 2K, just in a way of a prequel out there. Now, we get to see how far back and to where in the world it is going. That being the 1900s in Sicily if you might have missed that from before or have very little knowledge in the history of the mafia. Now, though, we get to see that it will not be the exact founding of this family out there but the initiation of a new member that will bring the history forward when the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC this coming Summer.
If you have not already sped on down to the new video for Mafia: The Old Country, here we get to see the story of Enzo Favara and just how he is brought into the new family business out there in Sicily. All in the new third-person, action-adventure title that will not only give us some of that core gameplay we know from the franchise, but also mix things up just a bit more too. Given that cars were not as massive back then, it does look like we will have some horseplay in the mix along with some of those really old guns too. While not the most iconic for where the mafia is in pop culture, it is where a lot of it all started, and fun to see the teams are going back there. Along with taking up how this all had to be handled with the backdrop of the World War that was brewing. Nothing too new for the IP as the third game did tackle the Vietnam War a bit too. Here is a look at the game in its current state as we wait for the next massive update to come right at us next.

Does this get you excited for the new Mafia game or were you hoping to see the IP jump forward in time again? Could this all be a retelling of a story from a dying character in the main storyline or will this be all of the build-up to where that all kicked off instead? How much of the worldly politics will we see in the game or will it only have mentions as the main story plays out? Ride on down to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that you might have on your mind after all of this fun. We know we will have more for Mafia: The Old Country, so please make sure you are coming back to the site to see it all. There are only a few more months we have to wait for it to be released, so the marketing campaign will have to be kicking off early in 2025. Just be sure to be here to join us all as it fires off.
