Mafia
The next Mafia title is on the way to us with the full announcement we have for Mafia: The Old Country out of Gamescom
Just as the rumors were speculating, we have the announcement for Mafia: The Old Country fresh out of Gamescom to keep the IP flowing on out there. It is another fun entry from Hangar 13 along with 2K again, but this one will not be pushing us all forward in time. In fact, when this Mafia games comes out in 2025, it will be taking us a bit further back in time than expected on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Hence the subtitle of the game. For all of that, we are going to have to dig into the announcement trailer and the little bits we have to go on out of the show right now. Let us have a look at it all.
The teaser we have for Mafia: The Old Country does not truly show off much for the game or what the gameplay will look like. Instead, it shows off that we are going to be going into the underworld of 1900s Sicily to see where this whole mob story began. One that will, most likely, bring us some action and other storytelling elements to keep us going. Hopefully, like the other Mafia titles, it will give us rackets and other things we can run so this is more than just a third-person shooter of a game. That is something that made the titles a lot of fun and helped them all stand out beyond having the story. Even if it does feel like going back in time will hinder some of the aspects of the game world that helped with all of that. Like the fancy cars and other tidbits that we had to handle along the way. I doubt we are going to have all of the fun customization we had out there recently too.
