Those looking to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chernobyl will have to wait longer with another delay for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
Well, it looks like those wanting to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl are going to be in for a rough day here. It looks like it is happening again and we have one more delay for the game. Something that GSC Game World is taking in stride and have a little fun with, but wants to make sure we all know that September 5th will not be the day we are playing the game on the PC and Xbox Series X|S. The new date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is now set for November 20th of this year. So, only a few more months of delay and allowing the team to make sure we are getting the best game possible out there. That is always the goal of these things, right?
The reason for this delay, thankfully, is not the normal "polish" excuse that we get. Well, at least it is not worded that way for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Plain and simple, the team found many more bugs and anomalies in the core of the game and needed extra time to make sure it was ready for market. They know we are tired of waiting, yet also know that gamers will lose their minds if S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is not close to perfection after all of this waiting. So, to not force crunch and make sure everyone is happy, we have to wait a few more months. I know it will all be worth it. More so after seeing the time and care they go into with the following video just to break the news as easy as possible for us all. Not to mention giving us all some new deep dives into the game in the coming weeks to build that excitement back up after the letdown.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl will now be launching on November 20, 2024, moving from the previously planned date of September 5, 2024. We know you might be tired of waiting, and we truly appreciate your patience. These two additional months will give us the chance to fix more “unexpected anomalies” (or simply “bugs”, as you call them).
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is shaping up to be everything we envisioned, with the launch nearly here, and we are incredibly excited to share more with you. To give you a taste of what’s coming, GSC Game World is thrilled to announce the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Developer Deep Dive video, which will be released on Xbox media channels on August 12. This detailed update will include exclusive interviews, lots of new footage, and a full video walkthrough of one of the game quests. We can’t wait for you to see it and get a comprehensive understanding of how the game looks and plays.
